"Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;"

There are far too many Christians suffering from sin, falling for temptation and facing sin-consequences for lack of diligence. If we're not *LOOKING DILIGENTLY*, Satan can have his way with us. We must be alert and vigilant, keeping our eyes wide open not to fall prey of the snares of the Devil. Scripture states that we can fail GOD's grace when we don't look diligently. Those saved partake in GOD's grace. They are acceptors of the free gift. Those who reject GOD reject this gift of grace. And those who fail to look diligently and fall for the wiles of the enemy, fail GOD's grace, leaving HIS free gift behind. (We've been graced by GOD to live free from sin.) Don't allow Satan to have his way with you, causing you to fail GOD's grace. And don't let bitterness take root in you and defile you. As soon as you feel bitter towards another human being you give license to Satan to defile you. They may've wronged you, may've humiliated you, may've used you awfully, you still must walk in love. Bitterness even when it's humanly understandable and humanly justifiable, binds us in shackles of sin and hurt. Letting go of justice over the situation and loving even when it feels like it takes everything within you to do so is when GOD is glorified in your life. When it feels so unnatural and uncommon, when it feels plain wrong to love, is when you give GOD license, permission and access over the situation. This frees you of the hurt, sin and influence of power your offender had over you when you were wronged by them. Getting even is impossible. Because when you retaliate towards a wrongdoer, your fleshly satisfaction will be met with demons who've been granted access over you to do you harm.

Look diligently. Read situations that may fail you of GOD's grace as mentioned in Heb. 12:15. And don't allow the seed of bitterness to take root in your fragile heart. Because once you give root to this seed, it grows and springs up, bringing you to your defilement.
