Scripture Post #1,014: *BROTHERLY ASSEMBLY*
Hebrews 10:25:
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

I'll be honest: there have been times in my life when I desired to live and worship GOD solitarily. I didn't want to go to Church, didn't want to share my beliefs with friends or family. I just wanted JESUS all to myself. I was hurt by people claiming Christianity yet abandoning Scripture, hurt by the Church, deceived by that which was later debunked and unproven to be true. I didn't trust many people and wanted CHRIST and CHRIST alone. Pure. Undefiled. Untouched. Authentic. Raw. GOD. But that's the wrong attitude. That's the wrong idea. We must not forsake people. We mustn't turn from our *BROTHERLY ASSEMBLY*. Togetherness is GOD's desire. Fellowship is what HE wants. Covenant. Unity. Bond.
We can't love GOD while disliking people. We kid ourselves with that approach.
1st John 4:20: "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"
