This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Titus, his son in the common faith (Titus 1:1-4).
Much confusion and contention derives from technicality overload. People try to prove their loyalty so much to GOD that they keep HIS law while unknowingly forfeiting HIS grace! Yes, do good. Yes, be obedient. But once you're so very technical that you miss GOD in your attempt to please HIM, you've gone too far. There are people who don't believe in the name of JESUS, because the letter "J" can't be found in the Greek alphabet. But the last time I checked, I spoke English. That's a perfect example of how people can be *OVERLY TECHNICAL*. Now we have folks missing out on the power of the name of JESUS, all because of a stupid technicality. If JESUS was so bent on HIS name being pronounced a certain way, HE would've told HIS Disciples this, when HE sent them out to preach the Gospel to this lost world. We must believe that JESUS is LORD in order to be saved. But by the time folks are more concerned about foolish technicalities than they are about having a relationship with JESUS, salvation becomes insignificant to them.
"…Avoid foolish questions…and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain."
