This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).
We as Believers should be alert and knowledgeable in important matters of life. In doing the work of an evangelist, it helps to be watchful in all things, and informed about our surroundings. For the sake of salvation, and winning souls for the LORD, one does not have to be wise. For no man comes to the FATHER except he be drawn by the LORD. Salvation is the LORD's work, not man's. (John 6:44: "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.") Although the work of an evangelist is GOD's drawing and not man's cleverness, Christians should still be in the knowing to answer important questions new Believers and unbelievers may have. Making *FULL PROOF* of our walk, belief and ministry, dispels confusion and settles and strengthens our souls in the truth of GOD's Word. Knowledge + Understanding = Confidence. And the more confident believers, the better.
