Scripture Post #892: *THOROUGHLY FURNISHED*
2nd Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).
All Scripture is inspired by GOD. And through reading and applying it, it brings us to a place of perfection and thorough furnishment unto all good works (2 Tim. 3:17). Basically, Scripture betters us. We are made better after being edified by it. To be *THOROUGHLY FURNISHED* is to be buffed and polished with great detail, meticulously. That's what GOD does for us when we read HIS WORD! HE refines us and transforms us. HE breaks us and molds us. HIS WORD cuts us like a sword with its truth and strengthens us. We're purged and washed until we come to the point of perfect thorough furnishment as 2nd Timothy 3:17 states!
Ps. 51:7: "Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow."
Heb. 4:12: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
John 15:2: "Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit."
V. 3: "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you."
Is. 64:8: "But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand."
