Scripture Post #844: *USE A LITTLE WINE*

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).
I don't drink wine at all; but I don't turn my nose up at people who do. There's a balance within Scripture where wine is concerned. We aren't to be given to drunkenness.
(Rom. 13:13: "Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.")
Also, we are to be sober minded.
(Titus 2:6: "Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.") So why did the Apostle Paul write to Timothy to drink wine? Well, first off, Paul stated to *USE A LITTLE WINE*. Second, he said to do so "…for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities." Using natural remedies for health purposes as a Believer, doesn't mean you've lost faith in Christianity by any means. Paul told Timothy to do this after all. Sometimes GOD works supernatural miracles of healings, and other times we as Believers should find natural solutions for beneficial health, similar to Paul's advice to Timothy.
Wine has a lot of healing properties, believe it or not. Paul really knew what he was talking about:
Wine, especially the red variety, has been studied extensively over many years with impressive findings suggesting it may promote a longer lifespan, protect against certain cancers, improve mental health, and provide benefits to the heart. Remember, Believers, to have balance concerning wine-drinking. Also, remember Paul's context: "…use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities." Keyword: *little*.
