Scripture Post #819: *LOVE AS JESUS*

John 13:34: "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."

JESUS stated to love one another the way HE loves ("…As I have loved you, that ye also love one another.") Well, how did JESUS love? HE laid down HIS life for us—the greatest love of all:

John 15:12: "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you."

V. 13: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

The measure of love we should have for one another should be so strong, that we are willing to die for one another if need be! This is what separates JESUS's love from the love of those without JESUS.
