Scripture Post #814: *WE TRUST IN GOD*

1st Timothy 4:10: "For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe."

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).

When we think of the benefits of being saved, it's comforting: Ps. 68:19: "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah." But will we remain standing as the Apostle Paul did, in laboring and in reproach? It was because of Paul's trust in the LORD that he suffered labor and reproach: "For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God…" *WE TRUST IN GOD*. And because of our trust, we benefit blessings. But our trust also brings the un-welcome-ables, such as labor and reproach. We must understand that Christianity does not bring joy and happiness 24/7. Many have been put to death, and continue to be put to death today because of their faith in the LORD JESUS. So, no matter the benefits, nor the un-welcome-ables, let's trust in the LORD!

Prov. 3:5: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
