This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the Church of the Thessalonians (1st Thess. 1:1).

Some despise prophecies. But we should *ESTEEM PROPHECIES*. Some feel as though GOD only talks to them, and that GOD can't possibly use others to enrich their lives. But this just isn't true. GOD has called some prophets (Eph. 4:11: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;"). I, myself have been prophesied over by multiple people. A group of us were praying in Church one day and a lady held my hand and told me GOD said I would be a Preacher. Another lady told me she dreamt that I was preaching with a nice suit on one day. A man, who didn't know me that well called me preacher almost—if not—every time I saw him. And I preach the Gospel of the LORD JESUS CHRIST  every single day through Scripture Posts I believe GOD gives me.

Here's what Apostle Paul wrote concerning prophecy:
1st Cor. 14:1: "…Desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy."
V. 39: "…Covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues."
