Scripture Post #749: *THOU HAST A DEVIL*

John 8:48: "Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?"

JESUS and certain Jews were having a discussion. And in this discussion, JESUS said that these Jews were of their father, the Devil. And after JESUS said this to them in John 8:44, they flipped it around on HIM, accusing HIM of being demon-possessed in John 8:48. The Jews didn't want to admit the truth, so they lied. People might call you something you're not, all because of the truth you speak and stand by. But through it all, know that if people lied to the degree of accusing JESUS of being possessed by a devil, that we being HIS followers aren't exempt to being lied on.
