Scripture Post #740: *CHILDREN OF LIGHT*

1st Thessalonians 5:5: "Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the Church of the Thessalonians (1st Thess. 1:1).

1st John 1:5: "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."

V. 6: "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:"

V. 7: "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

Don't you want to be where GOD is? For GOD is in the light—HE is the light. Why wouldn't a follower of GOD want to dwell in the light where their GOD is? GOD's not evil, and there can be no darkness found in HIM. So if we are HIS *CHILDREN OF LIGHT*, then we shouldn't delight ourselves in darkness. Certain things we did prior to our salvation should disturb us. A Christian who finds their self comfortable in darkness is a breathing oxymoron. 

Let us desire what the LORD our GOD desires. Let us walk where the LORD walks. Let us be who the LORD has called us to be.
