Scripture Post #711: *BEING WISE*

John 7:1: "After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him."

The Jews sought to assassinate JESUS because JESUS was worshipped by men, and the Jews didn't recognize JESUS as a being to be worshipped—they didn't recognize HIM as the SON of GOD. They considered GOD the FATHER to be GOD alone. So JESUS, *BEING WISE*, "would not walk in Jewry". JESUS knew HE came to the earth to die for the sins of the world. But HE knew HIS time had not yet come, thus HE stayed away from potential threats.
