Scripture Post #698: *SEASONED SPEECH*

Colossians 4:6: "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."

Disclaimer: The images used for this Scripture Post, in their original forms, were from an image search engine. They are not images of my own.

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Timotheus, to the Saints of Colosse (Col. 1:1-2).

Our speech must be seasoned. We must have flavor in the things we say.
You know those folks who ramble on and on? You know those who talk about absolutely nothing? You're sitting there listening like, "Uhh, okay. Is this going anywhere?" People who talk like that, speak in an unseasoned way. There's absolutely no salt in their speech. This Scripture states that we are to let our speech be with grace and seasoned with salt, that we may know how to answer every man. A dull-speaker has answers for no one. There better be a point to what you're talking about. And you better have sense enough to answer people's questions—sinner's questions especially. If a sinner asks you a tough question you can't always give 'em your Pastor's phone number. You must "know how ye ought to answer every man" yourself.
