Scripture Post #626: *PEACE OF GOD*

Philippians 4:7: "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Timotheus, to the Saints of Philippi, with the Bishops and Deacons (Phil. 1:1).

JESUS had great peace. HE slept through a chaotic storm. HE had peace in a crazy predicament. To have such peace as JESUS did, passes all understanding. It's like un-understandable to have peace in total chaos—it passes all understanding. After JESUS awoke, HE then—with the peace HE had on the inside of HIM—commanded the storm to cease:
Mark 4:35: "And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side."
V. 36: "And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships."
V. 37: "And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full."
V. 38: "And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?"
V. 39: "And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."
V. 40: "And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?"
V. 41: "And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"
We can have a tornado of a storm occur in our own lives, and like JESUS, we can have peace through the storm.

We will be kept in perfect peace if we have our minds stayed on the LORD, with trust in HIM:
Is. 26:3: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
