Philippians 4:4: "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice."

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Timotheus, to the Saints of Philippi, with the Bishops and Deacons (Phil. 1:1).

Notice how Apostle Paul states to "Rejoice in the Lord alway…", then he states: *AGAIN I SAY, REJOICE*. The importance of praising GOD by rejoicing can't be stressed enough. Believers who don't give GOD praise aren't Believers at all! How can one think of themselves as a child of GOD and never rejoice or take joy in giving GOD praise? How is it that praise and worship annoys you, while at the same time, you're saved? Lifting up your hands and blessing the name of the LORD with the fruit of your lips should be a wonderful experience for you.

Rejoicing is great for depression. Did you know that it is absolutely impossible to feel down and sad while rejoicing? The two can't co-exist. Pastor Tony Brazelton explains how praise unto GOD lifts up the JESUS on the inside of you. This means that in our efforts of exalting JESUS, our spirits are being lifted as well, consequently. Thus our extreme joy in praising GOD. Perhaps this is the reason Job worshipped GOD in his darkest hour. After losing his children, servants, cattle and wealth, Job worshipped GOD in Job chapter 1, maybe because he didn't want to experience grief. Suppose Job knew that in worshipping GOD it was impossible for hurt and sorrow to have their way. Job knew that GOD was still GOD—GOD was still good, despite his circumstance.

Psalm 9:2: "I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High."
