Scripture Post #620: *SUBDUE ALL THINGS*

Philippians 3:21: "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Timotheus, to the Saints of Philippi, with the Bishops and Deacons (Phil. 1:1).

Context:
Phil. 3:20: "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:"
V. 21: "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

We are Heavenly minded people and followers of our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, WHO sits in Heaven, in\with GOD, the FATHER.
(Mark 16:19: "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God."
John 1:18: "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.")
And CHRIST is able to change our vile bodies into the fashion of HIS glorious Body by subduing all things unto HIMSELF.

Subdue means: to bring into subjection, to conquer, to overpower by superior force, to overcome, to bring under control, to render submissive, to repress or suppress, to keep under control, to keep/put down.

JESUS can change us, change our sin-habits, change our very being into a completely new creation! HE empowers us to *SUBDUE ALL THINGS*!! Don't you dare think for a moment that you have to sin and there's no escape because nobody's perfect. You won't find that notion in any place in Scripture! Matt. 5:48 states (by JESUS) to be perfect. But the perfection isn't ours; it's HIS! HE's the perfect One. HE's the One who subdues our vileness and empowers us to be righteous, holy and perfect (and whatever else Scripture states about the Believer) like HIM.
CHRIST subdues our filth and makes us like HIM!

2nd Cor. 5:17: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

We are vile apart from CHRIST; we are "…fashioned like unto his glorious body…" in CHRIST! This is not self-righteousness; this is CHRIST's righteousness imputed upon you—this is what the Bible states about us who believe!
