Scripture Post #594: *ONE MIND*

Philippians 2:
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Timotheus, to the Saints of Philippi, with the Bishops and Deacons (Phil. 1:1).

In consolation, in comfort, in fellowship of the SPIRIT, etc., be *likeminded*, having the *same* love, being of one *accord* and of *ONE MIND*. There is no, "Well, let's just agree to disagree," when it comes to the WORD of GOD! If two Christians disagree on what color is best, which foods taste better, or if their views differ concerning opinion in trivial matters, then that's just fine. But if a fellow Christian shows you something in the Bible, and you refuse to accept it, because of your silly, "Agree to disagree" notion, then you are in error. GOD wants HIS people likeminded. If we disagree with a brother in the faith, we should examine why we disagree. We should assess the data and come to the truth. Basically do what 1st Thess. 5:21 states: "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." Then, go back to your fellow Believer in the faith with your *proven* truths, so that the two of you can be *likeminded*.

Romans 15:
5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Scripture Post #146:  *LIKEMINDED*)
