Scripture Post #476: *POWER OF THE AIR*

Ephesians 2:2: "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, to the Saints which were at Ephesus (Eph. 1:1).

Further Context:

Eph. 2:1: "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;"

V. 2: "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"

Before we came to CHRIST, we carried ourselves according to the ways of the Devil. Satan/Beelzebub is "the prince of the power of the air". Meaning: he runs things up high. There are beings in the air (fallen angels) that come down to earth and stir up evil. In the days of Noah this happened. And things similar are happening even now. Satan is the god of this world. He runs things up high because of his power. GOD has angels up high. But there are evil beings up high also. 

Gen. 6:4: "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."

2nd Cor. 4:4: "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

2nd Cor. 11:14: "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."
