Luke 10:18: "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."

JESUS sent forth 70 of HIS Disciples (excluding The 12). HE sent them forth to further the Kingdom of GOD (Luke 10:1-16). They returned to JESUS with joy, saying, "Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name." (V. 17.)
V. 18: "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."
V. 19: "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
V. 20: "Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven."
Verses 17-20 are within the context of evil spirits. But (JESUS, in) V. 20 makes it plain as to what's more important to rejoice about.

Okay, now for the nitty-gritty.
(Before I got to the nitty-gritty, I first wanted to present the context of verses 17-20. Because I believe context is extremely important when reading the Bible. And below, verses 1-17 of Luke chapter 10 are given verbatim.)
Lightning—what does it appear to do? It appears to come from beyond the highest cloud, down unto the earth; sometimes touching earth and striking down trees. Lightning—from Heaven to earth. JESUS likened Satan to lightning because Satan was once an Angel of the LORD in Heaven who was cast down to Hell (described as the "Cherub", "Lucifer": Isaiah 14:9-15; Ezekiel 28:13-19). JESUS said, "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." So JESUS was there to witness Satan's damnation. Satan, and those spirits in allegiance to him, are subject to the power of JESUS (Luke 10:19)! Satan has fallen! And great was his fall!

Isaiah 14:9: "Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations."
V. 10: "All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?"
V. 11: "Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee."
V. 12: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"
V. 13: "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:"
V. 14: "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."
V. 15: "Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

Ezekiel 28:13: "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created."
V. 14: "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire."
V. 15: "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."
V. 16: "By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire."
V. 17: "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee."
V. 18: "Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee."
V. 19: "All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more."

Context Concerning The 70 Disciples Being Sent Forth:
Luke 10:1: "After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come."
V. 2: "Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."
V. 3: "Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves."
V. 4: "Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way."
V. 5: "And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house."
V. 6: "And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again."
V. 7: "And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house."
V. 8: "And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:"
V. 9: "And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you."
V. 10: "But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,"
V. 11: "Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you."
V. 12: "But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city."
V. 13: "Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes."
V. 14: "But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you."
V. 15: "And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell."
V. 16: "He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me."
V. 17: "And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name."
