Scripture Post #396: *FAITH, NOT THE LAW*
Galatians 2:16: "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and all the brethren which were with him, unto the Churches of Galatia (Gal. 1:1-2).
Keeping and being obedient to all the Laws and precepts of GOD won't justify you—faith will. Without faith it is impossible to even please GOD:
Heb. 11:6: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Faith is important. Faith comes first. Good works and good deeds are only deemed good if they are done through faith in JESUS CHRIST. Our being justified by faith and not the Law doesn't give us the right to act a fool all because of our faith justifying us and not our works or our keeping of the Law. No. It's because of my faith in JESUS CHRIST that I am justified. I am made right by GOD. I am made a new creature. I'm not the same old me. Justified is justified. Right is right. Faith in GOD while acting a fool (acting outside of Godly character) is oxymoronic. They don't go. They don't agree.
Praise be to GOD for blessing us with HIS saving grace and righteousness! Not righteousness merited by the works of the Law (who could measure up to that), but righteousness being GOD's gift to us!
By grace through faith are we save!!
Rom. 5:16: "And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification."
V. 17: "For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)"
V. 18: "Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life."
("…The free gift is of many offences unto justification.")
Eph. 2:8: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"
