Scripture Post #394: *GLORIOUS TRANSFORMATION*

Galatians 1:23: "But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed."

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and all the brethren which were with him, unto the Churches of Galatia (Gal. 1:1-2).

Further Context (words of the Apostle Paul):
Gal. 1:21: "Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;"
V. 22: "And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:"
V. 23: "But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed."
V. 24: "And they glorified God in me."

I pretty much covered Apostle Paul's past and how he persecuted the Church of GOD in Scripture Post #392:  *PAUL'S PAST*. But verse 23 is just so powerful to me that I wanted it to have its very own Scripture Post.

Such a *GLORIOUS TRANSFORMATION* how he (Paul) who persecuted the Church in times past then (once saved) preached the faith which once he destroyed.

Some of our pasts are so ugly that now being saved it's like we have no choice but to drop to our knees and thank GOD in worship and in praise. To think of where we'd be if we never came to JESUS, to think of what we'd be doing if CHRIST hadn't moved in on the inside of us is a troubling thought. Apostle Paul was a Church-persecutor turned Church-builder. We now have former addicts, thieves, fornicators, abusers, homosexuals and murderers, who are changed and set free from their pasts and are now doing great things for GOD! Just reflecting on your past'll give you many reasons to thank the LORD!
