Scripture Post #389: *MATCH*
Luke 6:
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

JESUS is speaking here (Luke 6:43-45).
Luke 6
Easy-to-Read Version (ERV):
V. 43: "A good tree does not produce bad fruit. And a bad tree does not produce good fruit."
V. 44: "Every tree is known by the kind of fruit it produces. You won’t find figs on thorny weeds. And you can’t pick grapes from thornbushes!"
V. 45: "Good people have good things saved in their hearts. That’s why they say good things. But those who are evil have hearts full of evil, and that’s why they say things that are evil. What people say with their mouths comes from what fills their hearts."
Good fruit *MATCH* good trees; bad fruit match bad trees. Good people have good in their hearts that they bring forth; bad people have evil in their hearts that they bring forth. Our behavior matches our hearts, whether good or bad. You can tell what a man's heart looks like by what he says: "…For of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." (Luke 6:45.)
Prov. 4:23: "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." (Your heart'll tell on ya.)
