Scripture Post #384: *DELIVER*
Galatians 1:
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and all the brethren which were with him, unto the Churches of Galatia (Gal. 1:1-2).
This Scripture states that JESUS "…gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world…". That right there lets us know that this world is evil, and that we're to be delivered from it. Once we are delivered from something we did when we didn't know CHRIST, we discontinue doing that thing. We don't take what we once did and try to offer it up to GOD as holy. No. We change completely. And all things are made new in our lives(!):
2nd Cor. 5:17: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
For example:
We are not supposed to get freed from listening to secular music and then once we're delivered, offer the same music up to GOD as holy by adding JESUS to the lyrics of it. If JESUS is in it the old stuff can't be there. Because all things are made new in CHRIST!
Once delivered by JESUS, we're new!
