Scripture Post #332: *RATHER*
2nd Corinthians 5:
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Timothy, unto the Church at Corinth (2nd Cor. 1:1-2).
2nd Corinthians 5:8-9
Easy-to-Read Version (ERV):
V. 8: "So I say that we have confidence. And we really want to be away from this body and be at home with the Lord."
V. 9: "Our only goal is to always please the Lord, whether we are living here in this body or there with him."
We want Heaven. We wanna be with the LORD. We'd much *RATHER* have it that way! But whether here (on earth) or there (in Heaven), we should always strive to "please the Lord" that "we may be accepted of him."
