Scripture Post #292: *THE GOSPEL*
1st Corinthians 15:
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Sosthenes, unto the Church at Corinth (1st Cor. 1:1-2).
This is good. Here we see that those saved have had the Gospel preached unto them, then, receive and stand in the Gospel by which they are saved. And then we see in verse 2, that those are saved *if* they keep in memory the Gospel preached unto them that they have received and stand in—unless they have believed in vain. Meaning: if we don't keep in memory the Gospel we receive and stand in, then our belief is in vain; we believe amiss; our belief is nothing.
*Keep in memory the Gospel*. Know why and how you are saved. If someone were to ask, "Why do you believe?" Or, "How do you know you are saved?", what would your answer be?
