Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Sosthenes, unto the Church at Corinth (1st Cor. 1:1-2).
This Scripture was stated in the context of Church order. 1st Cor. chapter 14 states a lot regarding Church order. If what's going on in Church is indecent and disorderly then the structure is off. Imagine an unstructured courtroom: The judge not wearing proper attire, people talking while the judge is talking, the bailiff either unarmed or on lunch break while court is in session, the defendant texting while the plaintiff is addressing the court, children playing patty-cake in the back, a witness on their cell while court is in session, freedom is given to all to do as they please while court is in session, and so on and so on. If our Churches are like this courtroom I described, Satan can easily infiltrate and ruin people's lives! A lot of us have more respect for the judge and the courtroom than for the Pastor and GOD's Church! People dress *decently* in court. But in Church sometimes people dress indecent. There is great *order* in court. But some Churches are disorderly. Should court be revered higher than Church? If you respect the court of law and the judge of that court enough to act right, dress and carry yourself *DECENTLY AND IN ORDER*, then how much more does GOD deserve of you when you enter HIS House? Decency and order is important in the world. The world understands it's important in a lot of cases more the we the Church do. And they're without GOD—shameful. "Let all things be done decently and in order." Amen.
