Scripture Post #272: *RHETORICAL QUESTIONS*

1st Corinthians 12:

29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Sosthenes, unto the Church at Corinth (1st Cor. 1:1-2).

Many Christians believe that the gift of tongues is for every Believer. But the truth of the matter is, it's just not so. If every member of the Body of CHRIST possessed all the gifts, there wouldn't be much need for one another, would there? We link up, forming the Body of CHRIST having gifts differing 1 from another. Isn't that what makes a body, a body? The fact that each member (body-part) is different and unique in its own special way. Seek GOD as to what your gift is. Or what your gifts are. But know that all don't share the same gifts.
