Scripture Post #210: *UNMARRIED*

1st Corinthians 7:
32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Sosthenes, unto the Church at Corinth (1st Cor. 1:1-2).

This Scripture post correlates with "Scripture Post #202:  *SINGLE AS PAUL*," heavily. This Passage is basically meaning that if you're unmarried you can do more for GOD than if you're married. Because the married person must put time and great effort into that marriage for it to work; inadvertently by default, leaving less time and effort to be given to GOD. Whereas, the single person can give GOD more of his/her time and effort. Because there's no spouse taking up any time or effort; leaving more time and effort to be given to GOD!

Verse 36: "But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry." (You sin not if you marry.)
Verse 38: "So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better." (Better not to marry than to marry; but it's not wrong or a sin to marry.)
