Scripture Post #127: *WITH OR AGAINST*
Matthew 12:30: "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad."
Note: Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees here (Matt. 12:24-37).
If you're not with Jesus then you're with Satan, against Him by default. Because we are born sinners, not being on God's side, but against God, on Satan's. We're born not being children of God. We become children of God by being adopted into God's family through Jesus Christ. We are born without having connection to God. The only way to connect with God and be *with* Jesus and not *against* Him, is to accept Him as Lord. But if you haven't done that then you're against Him, automatically. You can't take the attitude: "We'll, I'm not with Jesus, or against Him. I'm just doin' my own thing here." The person with that attitude would be set in the "Against God" category, automatically. Because Jesus said, "with" or "against". It's an "either" "or". Fence-sitters are against God by default.
