Scripture Post #35: *EXPLANATION*

Matthew 5:45: "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."

Note: Jesus is speaking here.

This Scripture seems to *explain* why bad things happen to good people and good things happen to evil people (God's sun rises on the good and the evil and sends rain on both the just and unjust).

This Scripture starts off with: "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven…" Because Jesus said: "Love your enemies" in verse 44. So it goes like: "Love your enemies…that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven." God's children love their enemies.
