Scripture Post #18: *FORGIVEN*
Romans 4:
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Context: This Scripture was from Paul, a servant & Apostle of Christ, to all that were in Rome (Rom. 1:1 & 7).
Here, Paul is sharing King David's description of the blessed man (Romans 4:6-8; Psalms 32:1-2).
Romans 4:
6: Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
[verse 7:] Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
[verse 8:] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Psalm 32:
1: Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
[verse 2:] Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
